Sundown Spectacular Cliff’s Of Moher Tour

SUNDOWN SPECTACULAR CLIFFS OF MOHER TOUR

Prepare for a day tour trip of a lifetime. Waking up at the early hours is not for everyone . Perhaps there is a late evening Irish dancing show to be seen  or your flight arrives in the morning, whatever the reason this tour can tick many boxes, as one of its many benefits is the tour leaves later in the day

One of the many advantages of this tour is that on arrival at the Cliffs of Moher you will enjoy the Cliffs of Moher with far less crowding at the site, with most of the large bus tours having left the site by the time of our arrival. If you wish to have that spectacular photo at the Cliffs Of Moher during sundown then this is the tour for you.

Furthermore, as we all know the weather cannot be guaranteed in Ireland as we famously have 4 seasons in one day but if you were to speak with an experienced guide or locals living up by the Cliffs, they would tell you the best time to see the Cliffs of Moher is late in the evening. More often than not you will experience better weather in the evening than in the morning but unfortunately that is something we cannot guarantee,  but regardless we travel rain or shine.

With your experienced tour guide and driver you will be picked up in your comfortable Mercedes limousine at your preferred pickup location. Truly unforgettable memories are to be had as your driver takes you through the busy Dublin streets, out to the suburbs and onto the open road heading West to where the magical Cliffs of Moher awaits.

THE ROUTE

Start

DEPARTURE
Here is where you will have decided one of two stops.
First Option: For all you whiskey buffs before you know it you will be taken off the main Dublin to Galway road to Kilbeggan Distillery which is found over the river Brosna in County Meath where for one hour you can enjoy the wonderful visitor centre they have on offer.
Second Option: We will make a drive through Galway City where your driver guide will allow you to exit the vehicle at the top of Galway’s famous Shop Street and walk down this avenue bustling full of life. Your driver will then meet you after your forty-five minute stroll at the bottom of the main Galway strip.

Corcamroe Abbey

CORCAMROE ABBEY
As we arrive in the rugged West, we will drive through the town of Kinvara which is the gateway into the Burren National Park. Park (Irish: An Boireann, meaning “the stony place”). As your knowledgeable guide will explain it was formed millions of years ago when the area was under sea and has been dominated by glaciation to produce this “lunar terrain” where to be sure we’ll stop so you can see it first-hand. In the midst of this expanse of sheer natural beauty is a 12th Century abbey named Corcamroe. Your driver/guide will divulge in its history and tales allowing you to journey back in time in your imagination to how these monks lived. We will make a photo stop here.

Fanore

FANORE
Once we leave the mystical grounds of Corcamroe we will adjoin one of the 2500km Wild Atlantic Way’s most spectacular drives, the Black head drive. Take in the Atlantic Ocean in all its glory and might as you watch gigantic waves crash against the Irish West coast. As a bonus stop and if it is safe to do so you will be brought to a location known as the ‘Miniature Cliffs of Moher’. From here we can take in magnificent views of the Aran Islands and if you have a cracking day the Cliffs of Moher themselves will be visible also.

Cliffs of Moher at Sundown

CLIFFS OF MOHER AT SUNDOWN
We arrive now at the Cliffs of Moher. What surprises people is the lack of people that are there. The big crowds tend to be normally late morning heading into the early afternoon. When all the multitudes of thousands of tourists are long gone you can enjoy these captivating Cliffs of Moher all to yourself which will undoubtedly become the highlight of your entire trip to Ireland. Hopefully, the sun will be out as we see its glow spread over the vast Atlantic.

Back to Dublin via Bunratty

BACK TO DUBLIN
We now journey out of County Clare region to its border with County Limerick as we make a drive by one of its most beautiful castles. Bunratty castle will be standing tall and proud in the middle of the village as we slow down, we can get a wonderful photo snap shot. We make our way back to Dublin’s fair city stopping for refreshments where needed. We will drop you back to the same pickup location or preferred as suits, where you might have the strength to fight the sleep and enjoy a famous pint of Guinness thinking of a memorable day just had.
